ISS is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Employee Support Coordinator to join our team and help our employees thrive!

Role Overview:

This is a newly created role within our Human Resources Team. 

As an Employee Support Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing of our staff. You will provide a safe space for employees to seek help with personal and professional issues, mentor and guide apprentices, and champion our company’s values and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Wellbeing Support: Address both internal and external wellbeing issues, provide confidential support, and assist staff in accessing social services.

Staff Mentorship: Guide new employees as they start their journey with ISS, offer ongoing support to existing staff, and serve as a mentor.

Training Support: Help apprentices complete their coursework, mentor restricted COC holders, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.

Resource Development: Create and distribute resources on mental health, financial literacy, and social services, and organize workshops and seminars.

Community Coordination: Collaborate with external support organizations and services to provide comprehensive care.

Cultural Sensitivity: Offer support that is respectful of cultural diversity and promote culturally sensitive practices within the company.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: While formal qualifications are not necessary, experience in a support role such as pastoral care, counselling, social work, or related fields is preferred.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, understanding of mental health issues, ability to handle confidential information, and proficiency in developing and delivering training programs.

Attributes: Empathetic, compassionate, patient, proactive, and resilient. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Other Requirements:

You must be a New Zealand Citizen or hole an NZ Residence Permit and reside in New Zealand (Applicants who do not meet this requirement should not apply) 

Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Willingness to travel regularly to satellite sites.

Flexibility to work outside standard office hours when needed.

A clean and valid driver’s license.
